In ancient Egypt the beetle was a symbol of immortality, resurrection, transformation, and protection. Our exquisitely detailed statement necklace, entitled "Spread Your Wings", represents the sacred beetle in the moment it unfurls its majestic wings and readies for flight.
Green Brazilian tourmaline set in 18k gold scalloped bezel. The Wings are hand-pierced oxidized sterling silver, with solid 18k gold granule accents. Ethically sourced Canadian diamonds, flush-set. Oxidized sterling silver chain with 18k accent links. Custom fabricated bi-metal toggle clasp.
Our Process
Each Svetlana Lazar piece is designed by us and handcrafted with dedication, integrity, and attention to craft. All designs begin start as drawings, wax carvings, and metal fabrication experiments in our studio. We work with with gem suppliers in the US and globally to meticulously select the finest gems for each design. We create pieces in our studio and in partnership with exceptionally talented craftspeople - casters, fabricators, and stone setters.
